RoundUp & Save Checking

The RoundUp & Save Checking Account works with your RoundUp Savings Account to help you save automatically.  Every time you make a purchase with your Security Savings Bank debit card, the amount is rounded to the nearest whole dollar, and the "round up" amount is automatically deposited into your RoundUp Savings Account.  Each debit card transaction qualifies for the savings round up.  For more information, please see FAQs for this account.

RoundUp & Save Checking Account Features:

• $100 minimum required to open account
• Unlimited check writing
• Debit Card and ATM Card available
• Free OnLine Banking, Bill Pay Services, and Mobile Deposits
• eStatement or paper statements available at customer's option (see Important Statement Information for fees associated with statement delivery option)
• No monthly service fee
• $10 Lost Debit Card fee
• Security RoundUp Savings Account Required

RoundUp Savings Account Features:

• $25 minimum required to open account
• $2 monthly service fee.  No monthly service fee when $25 minimum balance maintained.
• Exceptional rate of interest paid on the first $5,000 on deposit.  Interest rates are variable and can change at any time. Tiered interest rate paid on the portion of the balance within the selected tier.  See rate schedule for current rates.
• Free eStatement combined with checking account statement
• Overdraft Protection provided at no annual fee. Transfer to checking to cover overdraft (minimum transfer amount $50).

Overdraft Protection Transfer Service Available With All Checking Accounts:

• Overdraft protection source account may be a savings or a checking account
• $15 enrollment fee; $15 annual fee
• No annual fee for Security RoundUp & Save Account
• $5 per overdraft transfer (each overdraft item causes a separate transfer)
• All transfer fees deducted from savings account
• Completion of a registration form is required to sign up for overdraft protection. View Overdraft Protection Guidelines.

Important Statement Information:

eStatements are available at no fee upon customer registration in online banking at Security Savings Bank.  Paper statement delivery is $5 per month.  A paper statement is mailed for the first statement cycle after account opening and is provided at no charge.  If eStatement delivery through online banking is not completed or is cancelled, paper statements will be mailed at the monthly fee noted above.  Monthly statement delivery fee is waived when a minimum balance of $2,500 is maintained for Security RoundUp Checking and Security Classic Checking only.
